About The Tournament

From the event coordinator that brought you the South Florida Kickball Open 2011, The International Kickball Federation (IKF) presents the Lone Star Kickball Open located in Austin, TX. We will be inviting teams from across the nation, all around Texas and locally from the city to compete at the LSKO August 20th, 2011. A meet and greet and after party held in downtown Austin will also be part of the tournament weekend.  The host hotel, offering special rates to participants, will also be located downtown.

The IKF plans to offer prizes to the top four teams along the same lines that were offered at the SFKO this year in February.  Registration will open June 6^st and will close August 5^st or when we reach capacity. The Lone Star Kickball Open (LSKO) is a national tournament that welcomes teams from all over; social and competitive, affiliated with an established league or just put together for this tournament – any kickball team can register to play!  The only requirements are that teams must field 10 players with at least 4 members of each sex, and all participants must be at least 21 yrs or older on the day of the event. The 2011 tournament will be using IKF Rules, which can be found and downloaded from the theikf.com website.  A snapshot of these rules will be provided on this site as we get closer to the event.

We strive to provide teams with a superior tournament weekend experience filled with fun and competitive games played on quality fields, and outstanding parties in a relaxed social atmosphere, during the entire tournament weekend.  So whether you’re coming to play new competition, prove you’re the best around or just want to have fun on the field and more fun at the bar, the Lone Star Kickball Open is the place to play.

Tournament Prizes

Prize amounts for LSKO 2011 will be dependent upon how many teams register and play in the 2011 tournament. If the maximum number of teams sign up and play in the tournament, then there will be a total cash payout of $7500.

The above prize payout is based upon having the maximum number of teams playing in the 2011 tournament, and would be subject to change if the number of teams playing in the tournament is less than the maximum.
